# Issuance

Issuance is how you bring a confidential digital asset to life and keep it healthy: launch a new asset, mint and redeem against reserves, manage supply rules and fees, and reconcile confidential supply against public-side reserves — all without exposing holder balances. Mint and redeem run against reserves you hold through a custody connection you operate; Ryle is not a custodian.

## What this product covers

* **Asset lifecycle** — launch, configure, pause, reconfigure within policy, and wind down.
* **Mint and redeem** — issue and retire units against reserves, with review and limits.
* **Supply and reserves** — track confidential supply, reconcile against reserves, and prove backing without revealing holders.
